Long time ...NO POST

Well I guess it is one thing to start a blog...But to keep the thing updated is a real chalenge. Life just seems to fill up my days...leaving not much time to blog. A peice of my Art will be in the next Cloth Paper Scissors mag. I believe it will be in the May-June issue for the contest "Play on Words" It sure made my day when I found out that my artwork had been one of the chosen entrys. I'll post the picture once the issue comes out! The other cool thing happening right now in my life... is planning a trip to PARIS ...I can hardly wait...Well I will try to see if I can remember how to add a picture or two!

I have no clue why in the last post some of my writing appeared in yellow??? also can't figure out why I can't get a description by each picture...so until I get some help my postings will just be a little scattered! So some pictures might not have any explanation.

This Cupcake Cutie was done on canvas, old hardware handle, some vintage bling in the flower and her legs are 3D. The Bird Nest is a playful piece done with a lot of layering. The top piece was just plain fun!

Well here goes another attempt at posting...I thought the hard part was over just getting started but I was wrong if you recall my first post I said that I have a love-hate relationship with my computer well this is an example of that ...after getting this blog up and running I started looking for pictures of some of my artwork that were in my files only to discover my computer has eaten them! My husband and I realized that when we had a computer crash a few months back that was some of what we lost... I guess I'm learning the hard way the meaning of backing up your files but did find a few things I thought might be interesting to post .

My sister-in-law had a cupcake exchange and these are pictures of mine. Each cupcake had its own stand and pick. I thought they turned out so cute that they needed their own carry case that's what the box is for. Guess that's it of now !

Yea! I think I actually did it...post a picture of my grandsons.In all reality I had to call a friend and she had to walk me through it, hopefully this all gets easier with time and practice. That's it for now that made my brain hurt.

Welcome to my blog! I'm very glad you have come for a visit and hope you come back often. I decided to try something new this year and blogging was on the list...now I am wondering why in the heck this is on my list because I really don't like to write, my spelling is atrocious in fact sometimes spellcheck can't even figure out what I've written- I type with one finger (I kid you not!)-And I have a love-hate relationship with my computer so again ...Why is this on my list? Well the answer to that would have to be that the older I get I find that change can be hard and scary to try new things but you grow as a person as you continue learn so I'm all for growing (as long as that growing isn't around my waistline! ) Another reason is that I have enjoyed reading other peoples blogs... it's a good way to keep up with old friends and maybe make some new ones!
Most of the blogs I look at are other Artist blogs and find them to be refreshing to my spirit so I thought I would like to share my art with others as well. So I will post things about my daily life as these are the things that inspire my art and art inspires my life.

That's it for my first post next I'll try some pictures
